Congratulations to Martin Corr who received the award of "Volunteer of the Year" from Badminton Ireland. Badminton Ireland run an award ceremony each year for the Club of the year and volunteer of the year in different regions. Martin was nominated by the Skerries Badminton Committee as he is seen as a modest individual who enjoys his badminton and is down most nights to help set up the hall and play with young an old. Martin takes an interest in everyone, and is often involved in coaching and encouraging new players. Congratulations Martin the award was well deserved.  The Award Night was held in Sands Hotel Portmarnock and Martin is pictured below with supporting group, Martha Leonard, Denis McKeown, Mary Allidine, Joe Quinn and Helen Sweeny.
